INTELLOGENT WINS THE PRIX JEAN PRAT, GR.1
In winning the Prix Jean Prat, Gr.1 Intellogent provided Intello with his first Group I as a stallion. The Fiona Carmichael’s colt had earlier won the Prix de Guiche, Gr.3 in May and was beaten only by a length when fourth in the Prix du Jockey Club, Gr.1 in June. The Fabrice Chappet-trained colt raced in prominent position under Pierre-Charles Boudot as Wusool set the pace of the race with Ancient Spirit stuck to the far side rail. When asked Intellogent took the challenge to Wusool while the Godolphin-owned Cascadian launched a fierce challenge in the last furlong bearing down on Intellogent. Not prepared to give up Intellogent held on to win by a short neck from Cascadian with Gustav Klimt a length behind in third.
