THE KOLKATA MONSOON MEET

The 18 day Monsoon meet commenced on July 3, 2018 and is scheduled to conclude on October 13, 2018. Out of a total of 126 advertised races 25 are Cup races. 442 horses (which includes 95 two year olds) under the charge of 22 ‘A’ licensed Trainers are stationed at Kolkata at this moment of time. 22 ‘A’ licenses and 6 ‘B’ licenses have been issued to Jockeys thus far. 8 Apprentice Jockeys will continue to ride in races during the Season. A new look at the handicapping system has resulted in an initiative that will help professionals be more competitive.
