THE PUNE MONSOON MEET

Racing is set to kick off in Pune on 20 July 2018 with a 26 day schedule of races. It has an inconsistent schedule of days with not all race days being scheduled on weekends. So block the dates on your calendar in advance. The good news is that the advertised stake money for the Pune season is Rs 8.16 crore as against Rs 7.83 crore in 2017. The two Group 1 races of the season, the Indian St. Leger will be run on 23 September and the Pune Derby, is scheduled for 14 October. Weekly promotions and updates on racing can be heard on Radio One through the season. The Race Ka Raja contest which was an instant success during the last Mumbai season will be held on most of the race days and there will be a variety of prizes.
