INDIAN PHAROAH SHEDS MAIDEN STATUS IN THE MYSTICAL MILLION

Three previous attempts at success saw Indian Pharoah (Excellent Art-Running Flame) inch closer to the top and it looks like he chose a big day to show what he is capable of. The S Padmanabhan-trained Indian Pharoah who has raced over the mile in his last two outings wasted no time in taking the lead with Bradfield College in close touch. They continued this way into the straight with Bradfield College trying to get past the leader. With very attempt Indian Pharoah stretched further and kept striding out purposely to the line to win by 1¼ length to the good of Bradfield College with Secretive Force a length away in third. Roberta who was much in demand as favourite finished in fourth. The progeny of the multi Classic winning dam Running Flame has much to emulate and will be set on a journey to achieve Group success in the near future.
