(Surfrider-Showstopper) got the better of the champion filly Ruffina by a long neck in the Pune Bookmakers’ Association Turf Club Trophy, Gr.3. The earlier run that Timeless had may have just got her in good nick to do what she did in the race, for had Ruffina been ridden more judiciously she may not have been this lucky. But that is what racing is all about. With Ruffina’susual saddle partner David Allan, who knows her very well, piling up winners in Europe, she was partnered by Neeraj Rawal, who in an effort to keep out of troubles way found himself having to do much more than necessary and then lost out by a long neck. C S Jodha astride Timeless put in a great run to the line managing to keep ahead at the all-important end. Timeless who has raced over distances ranging from 6f to 10f will next be seen in the Akkasahab Maharaj Trophy and other sprint races this season.
