A SPLENDID VICTORY BY COSTA BRAVA IN THE PANCHSHIL MILLION

Costa Brava racing past the post with the opposition unsighted

The winner of two of his five starts, returned to winning form when brought down to the same distance he won on the second start of his career beating the likes of Pathan by over 12 lengths. When stretched over the mile and 9f, the Pesi Shroff-trained Costa Brava (Phoenix Tower-Karakorum) fell short on success but he seems to have returned to form with a brilliant display over the 7f trip. Slam Dunk took off to a runaway lead as the gates opened and Costa Brava was settled comfortably by jockey P Trevor behind the leader till heads turned for home. Without much effort he shortened the margin of the leader, and took over the running winning very impressively by six lengths from the trio of Forest Fairy, Slam Dunk and Run Forest Run that who finished in the shadows of each other. This winning performance makes him hard to toss next time out.
